Osteopathy for People, Horses & Dogs
Individual osteopathic care with a whole-body approach.
I am Tiina Väinölä, a Finnish osteopath working with people, horses and dogs. My approach is based on understanding the body as a whole – not only where a symptom appears, but how different structures and systems interact and influence movement, function and wellbeing.
My background in horses, competitive sport and coaching has strongly shaped the way I look at the body and movement today.

My Approach
Osteopathy, to me, is not simply a collection of techniques. It is a way of understanding the body and the relationships between its different structures and systems.
I look at movement, mobility, anatomy, biomechanics, the nervous system, circulation and the way the body adapts to load and compensation. The area where a problem is noticed is not always the place where the whole story begins.
Whether I am working with a person, a horse or a dog, my aim is to understand the individual in front of me and treat the body as a connected whole.
Look beyond the symptom. Understand the whole.
Osteopathy for People
Individual osteopathic care based on your history, current situation and the way your body functions as a whole.
Treatment may include structural, fascial, visceral and cranial approaches, always adapted to the individual.
Equine Osteopathy
Osteopathic assessment and treatment for horses, from leisure horses to performance horses.
My background in competitive riding, training and coaching gives me a strong understanding of the demands placed on the equine athlete. I look at the horse as a whole – movement, biomechanics, mobility, compensation and the demands of training and performance.
Canine Osteopathy
Individual osteopathic assessment and treatment for dogs of different ages and activity levels.
The aim is to support mobility and overall function while considering the whole dog rather than focusing only on one area of the body.
International Work & Education
I am available for equine osteopathy visits, professional training and teaching internationally.
I can travel abroad for individual horses as well as for larger groups, yards and organised treatment days. Visits can be arranged according to location, number of horses and travel requirements.
I also offer courses and professional education in equine bodywork, anatomy, biomechanics and osteopathic thinking. Training can be tailored to the background and needs of the participating group.
If you are interested in organising a treatment visit, clinic or course outside Finland, please get in touch to discuss the possibilities.
About Tiina
My journey with horses began in childhood and eventually took me into competitive riding, coaching and professional work with horses. I have trained young horses and competed internationally in show jumping.
My interest in how the body moves and functions first led me to equine massage therapy and later to osteopathy. I qualified as an Equine Osteopath EDO from the Vluggen Institute in Germany and continued my studies in canine osteopathy. I later qualified as a human osteopath in Finland.
Today I work with people, horses and dogs, as well as teach other professionals. Continuing to learn is an important part of my work – anatomy, biomechanics and the connections within the body continue to fascinate me.
I am still as much a student as I am a teacher.
